Abstract
The invention relates to a method of linking several current sources, in particular several welding devices (), plasma current sources or similar. Operating individually and independently of one another, a process control and/or regulating system () in every welding device () transmits desired values to a voltage-to-current controller of a power component (). The power component () supplies a consumer connected to output jacks () with power on the basis of the desired values. For the purposes of the invention, several welding devices () of the same and/or a different power rating or having the same and/or different machine specifications, are linked to one another on the secondary-side via the output jacks (to) to form a welding device () with a physically higher power output, whereby the interconnected welding devices () are digitally interconnected via a digital interface () which is known per se and/or a special digital connecting interface () for a data exchange. A process control and/or regulating system () of one welding device () assumes process control for all the other connected welding devices ().
