Abstract
A drum cover or protector includes features that allow it to be used with substantially any xerographic device cartridge designed to be used in a xerographic device adapted to handle standard paper sizes. The drum protector may be secured to the cartridge in a protecting position. In this position, the protector covers the drum and blocks objects from coming into contact with the drum surface. The drum protector also includes an arrangement that prevents any critical part of the drum surface from coming into contact with the cover itself.
