Abstract
A locking device for bobbins () in the hook base () of a sewing machine is provided by a locking element () that can move in the axial direction. The locking element () is spring-loaded and lies in an ejection and loading position inclined to the rotational axis (X) of the hook base (), so that the bobbin () can be placed or removed. As soon as the bobbin () is inserted into the hook base (), the locking element () tips and locks on the bobbin rod ().
