Abstract

The invention relates to a coloured soda-lime glass of blue hue, containing more thanwt. % of MgO, more thanwt. % of FeO, less thanwt. % of FeO and less thanwt. % of MnO, and presenting under Illuminant A and for a glass thickness ofmm, a transmission factor (TLA) higher than%, a selectivity (SE) higher thanand a dominant wavelength (λ) and a purity of excitation (P) such that they are located in the CIE chromaticity co-ordinate diagram inside a triangle whereof the apices are defined by the point representing the illuminant source C and the points whereof the co-ordinates (λ, P) are () and () respectively. Said glass is particularly suitable for motor vehicle side windows, rear windows and sun roof.
