Abstract

The present invention provides a container () for medical instruments, packaging system and method for use by a medical provider in connection with a medical procedure such as surgery. The container includes a first container portion () adapted to contain medical instruments and a second container portion () configured to attach to the first container portion, with fasteners () attached between the first and second container portions which are associated with reminder indicia (e.g.,A,B,A,B). Among other things, the container is designed to ensure the provision of an appropriate medical procedure on the proper patient at the proper site.
