Abstract

A braking amplifier for a vehicle having a vacuum chamber (), a working chamber () separated by a housing (), a shutter () and an intermediate chamber (). The intermediate chamber () is located in the housing () and defined by a plurality of circular zones () arranged around and axis () of the amplifier that are in communication with the vacuum chamber (). The end of the circular zones () have a rear section () that form a seat () for the shutter (). The shutter () selectively engaging seat () to interrupt communication between the vacuum chamber () and the intermediate chamber () and thereafter place the intermediate chamber () in communication with the working chamber () to effect a brake application.
