Abstract

There is disclosed a method of estimating moisture content in a material involving directing a first frequency (f) signal and a second frequency (f) signal through a material, determining a first absolute phase shift (φ) of the frequency signal and a second absolute phase shift (φ) of the second frequency signal, transforming φto a first corrected absolute phase shift (φ) and φto a second corrected absolute phase shift (φ) in accordance with an expected relationship between φand φ, and estimating moisture content from φand φ.
