Abstract

An actuator () acts as a drive unit for an injector, especially for an accumulator injection system. The actuator comprises a piezostack () disposed in a tube spring, a top plate () and a bottom plate. The top plate () of the actuator is directly fixed to the injector housing () by means of caulked areas. The caulking enables the injector to be produced in a simple and economical manner.
