Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of Coenzyme Qor functionally equivalent derivatives thereof, through topical or systemic administration, for the prevention, the treatment and/or attenuation of degenerative ocular pathologies, said pathologies being of an heredofamilial, inflammatory, dysmetabolic, senile age-related nature, the degenerative process deriving from apoptotic events caused by hypoxia or other detrimental stimuli due to ischemia or to the lack of trophic factors.
