Abstract
An incoming air duct () and an exhaust air duct () which connect an incoming air inlet () and an exhaust air outlet (), respectively, in an outside side-wall () to an incoming air outlet () and an exhaust air inlet () in a room-facing side wall () are arranged side by side, separated only by partitions () of aluminium sheet, to permit heat exchange between the exhaust air flow and the opposite incoming air flow over a plurality of straight sections () of a double duct which are connected by deflections () of in each case 180°. Directly successive straight sections () are separated by intermediate walls () which, at a deflection (), are in each case slightly shorter than the adjacent partitions () so that an inner passage () is left between the end of the intermediate wall () and a deflecting wall () adjacent to the ends of the partition () and the side walls () and having the shape of a parallelogram, and an outer passage () is left between said inner passage and an end wall (), which passages each connect the straight segments of the incoming air duct () and of the exhaust air duct (), respectively, to one another, or vice versa.
