Abstract
A method of determining the diffusion rate of a given analyte into a polymer film using an optical waveguide interferometer is disclosed. A method of forming a filter media by selecting a polymer for the sorbent system of the filter media based on the diffusion rate of a given analyte into a given polymer as measured by an optical waveguide interferometer is further disclosed.
