A process for transmitting data in a network adapted for isochronous and asynchronous transmissions and comprising a sender and at least one receiver. The process comprises the steps of: The invention also provides a process for receiving data comprising the steps of error detection hereinabove, from the point of view of a receiver, as well as a sending process comprising the steps of dispatching the start of transmission indicator packets and awaiting acknowledgement of receipt indicator packets, from the point of view of a sender.
