Abstract

The invention concerns a control and protection module () for a low voltage multipolar switch device that is comprised of a connector base (), a control electromagnet () and a trip mechanism () capable of acting upon the moving contacts () in order to open and break the power poles. The detachable control and protection unit (), an electronic board () which has a processing unit (), a control device () and a protection device (), responsible respectively for operating the electromagnet and the trip mechanism in response respectively to a control signal () and a trip signal () transmitted by the processing unit (). The processing unit can suppress the control signal () from the electromagnet () in the event of malfunction of the protection device ().
