Abstract

A pocket for a lacrosse head () includes a netting portion () attached to the lacrosse head (). The netting portion () has a plurality of holes () therein. The netting portion () is characterized by a middle section () with a plurality of center holes () therein intended to grip a lacrosse ball () and provide enhanced ball control characteristics. The netting portion () further includes at least one peripheral section () with a plurality of peripheral holes () therein capable of funneling the lacrosse ball () toward the middle section () and improving ball retention capabilities of the lacrosse head ().
