Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of mass-coloring synthetic materials, which comprises using at least one pigment dye of formula (1) wherein R and Rtogether form a phenyl or heteroaryl radical and Ris hydrogen, or Rand Rtogether form a phenyl or heteroaryl radical and R is hydrogen, and the rings A and B may each independently of the other be substituted by C4?alkyl, C–Calkoxy, halogen, —COOR, —CONHRand/or by —SR, wherein R, Rand Rare each independently of the others hydrogen, C–Calkyl, C–Caryl or heteroaryl, to synthetic materials colored with such pigment dyes, and to novel pigment dyes of formula (3), wherein Ris hydrogen or bromine
