Abstract

A method of operating an amplifier, for example, in a wireless radio transceiver, including monitoring a characteristic of the amplifier during an operating interval of the amplifier, for example, during a transmission burst, providing an open-loop control signal to the amplifier during a subsequent operating interval of the amplifier wherein the open-loop control signal based on the characteristic monitored during a previous operating interval. In one embodiment, the corrected control signals are stored in a look-up table () that is updated based on the changes in load impedance.
