Abstract
This invention relates to a method for the production of a valve seat () for a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. According to said method, an additional material is melted with the cylinder head by applying energy in the site in which the valve seat () is to be formed. An alloy or a mixture consisting of an aluminum-iron alloy and at least another component is used as additional material.
