Abstract
A power device for an automotive vehicle includes an interlock switcha crash sensorfor detecting an impact of an automotive vehicle, an interlock relaycontrolled and turned ON and OFF by the interlock switchand a contactorfor interrupting an output circuitwhen the interlock relayis turned OFF. In the power device, when the interrupting signal is outputted from the crash sensoror when the interlock switchis turned OFF from ON, the contactorsare turned OFF to interrupt the output circuitFurther, the power device has a switching elementconnected to exciting coilsof the contactorsin series and is turned ON and OFF by an interrupting signal from the crash sensorWhen the crash sensoroutputs the interrupting signal, the contactorsare turned OFF by the switching elements
