Abstract
Disposed within a space formed between a base cover () and a top cover () attached to the base cover () is an electromagnetic sound generating part which has a diaphragm () attached to the base cover () and a drive part causing the diaphragm () to vibrate. The drive part includes a yoke () fitted in the base cover (), a magnet () mounted on the yoke (), a top plate () mounted on the magnet () and an exciting coil () disposed to oppose to side surfaces of the magnet () and top plate (). Coil contact springs () are contained into housings () provided on portions of the base cover inside than an outer peripheral edge of the diaphragm. The coil contact springs () act to connect the exciting coil () with an outside power source. The base cover () is provided with a pair of connecting pieces () or lead frames which are used to connect the exciting coil () and coil contact springs (). The connecting pieces () are embedded in the base cover ().
