Abstract

The present invention relates to compounds of formula (1) and the salts thereof which correspond to formula (2).In the formulae, A is C- to C-alkylene, x is a number from 1 to 100, y is a number from 1 to 4, and R is a cation. The compound of formula (1) and/or formula (2) forms a persistent film on metal surfaces, particularly on metal surfaces under stress in metal working and in the operation of crude oil and natural gas processing.
