Abstract

A receiving device includes a receiving section for receiving a real-time signal; a packet analyzing section; an error correction section for correcting an error block in a packet; a communication path evaluation section; a buffer for storing data; a plurality of antennas; an antenna switching section; an antenna switching control section for giving instructions to switch between the antennas, in accordance with the result of the evaluation of a communication path performed for each predetermined unit; a retransmission request control section for performing retransmission request, in accordance with the result of the evaluation; a packet assembling section for assembling a retransmission request packet; and a sending section for sending the retransmission request packet. The retransmission request control section performs the retransmission request on condition that the real-time tranmission is not interrupted.
