Abstract

As shown in FIG.A, a touch panelis provided on a display screen, and a touch panelusing infrared rays is provided thereon. A shown in FIG.B, when a fingertouches the touch panel, its touching position is detected, and screen displaying is carried out on the display screenaccording to the touching position. Then, the fingeris brought closer to the display screen. Accordingly, as shown in FIG.C, when the fingertouches the touch panel, its touching position is detected, and screen displaying is carried out on the display screenaccording to the touching position. For example, in the case of an operation button, in FIG.B, displaying is carried out in a state different from that of FIG.A and, in FIG.C, displaying is carried out in another different state.
