Abstract
A semiconductor chipis provided with a first electrodeformed at a first corner of a crystal substrategenerally quadrangular as viewed in plan, and with a second electrodeformed to extend along two sides of the crystal substrate, these sides including between them a second corner located diagonally away from the first corner. The first electrodeand the second electrodeare connected to a first leadand second leadsformed on the circuit substratevia solder paste. The narrow first leadextends transversely to a side of the crystal substrate, and the second leadsextends in the opposite direction to that of the first lead. The first leadand the second leadare offset from each other by an appropriate distance. With such arrangements, the surface tension of melted solder prevents the semiconductor chipfrom being fixed to the circuit substratewith a slanting posture.
