Abstract
In the production of (cigarette) packs of the hinge-lid-box type with round edges, preliminary deformation of blanks () is desirable for producing hinge-lid boxes of satisfactory quality. The preliminary deformation of the round edges takes place in the region of a rounding turret () during transportation of the blanks (). The latter are deformed back into an essentially planar starting position upon leaving the rounding turret () and thereafter.
