Abstract
A portable handheld work apparatus such as a blower or brushcutter or the like has an actuating device for controlling the drive motor of the work apparatus. A throttle lever () is provided which acts on the actuating device. A fixing device () is provided for the throttle lever (). In order to obtain a simple, reliable fixing of the throttle lever (), the fixing device () includes blocking elements which fix the throttle lever () in a latching position () of the fixing device () in at least one pregiven position and which enable the throttle lever () in the operation-disabled position () of the fixing device ().
