Abstract

A culinary press comprises first and second elongate members () pivotably connected to each other near a pressing end at a first pivot point (), the first member () at least in part defining a food receiving chamber (), and with a perforated surface provided against which forced to be crushed is pressed, and a pivotably mounted plunger () disposed between the elongate members to be pivotable about a second pivot point () into said chamber (), wherein the plunger is mounted so that the second pivot point () is disposed on the opposite side or the first pivot point from the chamber (), and wherein the second elongate member () is formed with an actuating finger () which bears on the plunger ().
