Abstract

A method of configuring an intelligent network service over a user interface of a mobile station. The mobile station (MS) comprises an extension layer (MEXE) to support routines to be installed. The mobile station is loaded (-) with a configuration routine of the intelligent network service in question. The extension layer (MEXE) receives an input (-) through the configuration routine in order to configure the intelligent network service. On the basis of the input, the mobile station (MS) transmits configuration information to a mobile services switching centre (MSC) in a configuration message (-). The mobile services switching centre (MSC) recognized the configuration message (-) and transmits at least the essential part thereof to a service control point (SCP). The service control point (SCP) interprets the configuration information included in the configuration message (-) and configures the intelligent network service.
