Abstract
A cutting tool () for a punching machine has a punching body () on which a plurality of punching tool elements () which are located parallel to each other are provided. The puncing body () consists of a double-layered metal sheet (). Essentially longitudinal openings () are advantageously punched out of a sheet metal plate (and) symmetrically about an axis (), these longitudinal openings () being situated parallel to each other, respectively. The sheet metal plate () is then folded about the axis () in order to form the double-layered punching tool elements (). This allows the use of more simple punching machines and enables a punching machine to be produced from just a few individual parts.
