Abstract
The present invention relates to A composition obtained from the lipid soluble extract of rhizomes and leaves ofof Zingiberaceae family, useful for the treatment of neurocerebrovascular disorders, said composition comprising fraction A consisting of ar-turmerone of formula 1, and turmerone of formula 2, and/or along with fraction B consisting of curcumene and zingiberine, and/or fraction C consisting of germacrone, curcumerone, zedoarone, sedoarondiol, isozdedoaronidiol, curcumenone, and curlone, and/or pharmaceutically acceptable additives and a method of treating neurocerebrovascular disorders in animals including humans using said composition by administering therapeutically effective amount of lipid soluble extract.
