Abstract
A glass for covering electrodes, which consists, as represented by mass percentage based on the following oxides, essentially of from 35 to 55% of PbO, from 15 to 30% of BO, from 4 to 15% of SiO, from 20 to 44% of BO+SiO, from 0.5 to 10% of TiO+ZrO+LaO+TaO, from 0 to 15% of AlO, from 0 to 25% of BaO, from 0 to 1% of CuO and from 0 to 1% of CeO.
