Abstract
An electrical connector includes first and second mating sections (). The first section () forms a plurality of channels () for receiving wires (). The second section () has receptacles (A–D) for receiving contact elements () having IDC contacts for connecting respectively to the wires. The contact elements are constructed so that they may be placed in any one of four quadrature positions while providing a dual IDC connection with its associated wire.
