In an automotive headlamp, a lens flange portionis caused to extend from a circumferential edgeof a lens surfaceformed into a configuration which follows the outline of an external surfaceof a vehicle body toward a lamp housing, a surface-roughening process is applied to a surfaceof an end portion of the lens flange portionto make irregular the surfaceof the end portion, and a leg portionis caused to extend from a locationwhich deviates from the surfaceof the end portion in such a manner as to bypass the surfaceof the end portion, so that the leg portionfits in the lamp housing
