Abstract
The two-cycle combustion engine includes a first scavenge passage () for communicating directly between a combustion chamber () and a crank chamber (), a second scavenge passage () for communicating the combustion chamber () and the crank chamber () through a bearing () for a crankshaft (), an air supply passage () for introducing air (A) into the second scavenge passage (), a reed valve () provided in the air supply passage (), and an air-fuel mixture supply passage () for introducing an air-fuel mixture (M) into the crank chamber (). The second scavenge passage () is positioned at a location nearer to an exhaust port () than the first scavenge passage (). An air introducing passage () is formed in an cylinder block () so as to communicate the air supply passage () with the second scavenge passage () by way of a radially outer portion of the first scavenge passage ().
