Abstract

An information display system in which information can be referred to without a power supply anytime and anywhere like information recorded on paper, and in which information can be rewritten repeatedly, and such information can be outputted instantaneously and in large numbers. An image accepted by an image input unit (in FIG.) is converted by a signal processing unit () into a data format for writing the image into a display unit (). An information sending unit () controls plural display elements (-to-N), and it sends the information to-be-displayed to the plural display elements (-to-N) in parallel through a connector array (). Thus, the image accepted by the image input unit () can be instantaneously displayed on the multiple display elements (-to-N). The display elements (-to-M) have storability. Therefore, even when the display elements (-to-N) have been detached from the connector array (), the displayed images are kept as they are, and they can be referred to anytime and anywhere.
