Abstract
A reactor including a rotatable disc () having a surface () onto which reactant () is supplied by way of a feed (). The disc () is rotated at high speed, and the reactant () spills over the surface () so as to form a film (). The surface () is provided with features to enhance its surface area, such as a metal mesh (), thereby helping to increase the residence time of the reactant () on the surface () and to help mixing.
