Abstract

A pipe clampfor repairing an underwater pipe. The pipe clampcomprises a plurality of part-cylindrical portionshinged together along a hinge axis or axesalong adjacent longitudinal edges. Two or the longitudinal edgesof the part-cylindrical portions are free. The part-cylindrical portionsare movable about the hinge axis or axestowards and away from one another between an open position in which the free longitudinal edgesare spaced apart and the clampcan be placed around a pipe and a closed position in which, in use, the free longitudinal edgesof the part-cylindrical portionsare brought together around the pipe. Fastening means are provided for holding the free edgesof the part-cylindrical portionstogether, such that, in use, the clampis held to the pipe.
