Abstract
A thermoelectric power generating timepiece () comprises a dial (), a movement (), and a heat conduction sheet (), provided within an enclosed space, defined by a case () made of metal, with a glass () fixedly attached thereto, and a case back (), and further comprises a thermoelectric element (), housed in a gap between the heat conduction sheet () and the case back (). The case backis made of two kinds of materials each having a thermal conductivity differing from that of the other. The case back () is made up of a heat conducting part () made of material, such as metal, and the like, having a high thermal conductivity, and formed in a shape larger in outer size than the thermoelectric element (), so as to be disposed opposite to the thermoelectric element (), and a heat insulating part () made of material having a low thermal conductivity such as plastics, and the like, and formed so as to be disposed on the outside of the heat conducting part ().
