Abstract

A projector comprises a light source devicein which a light source cooling air flow channel X for introducing a cooling air to an internal light source lampis formed and an internal housingfor housing an optical element unit, which subjects the light beam emitted from this light source deviceto an optical processing. The internal housingis formed with a pair of optical element cooling opening portionsA,A, which are oppositely arranged by mutually pinching the optical element unitin order to allow a cooling air to pass through according to the arrangement of the optical element unit. Further, the underside of the internal housingis provided with a fan, in which a suction portA is directed to the opening portionA and an exhaust portB is connected to the light source cooling air flow channel X. Since an air flows along an arrow marked channel, the optical element unitand the light source lampcan be sufficiently cooled.
