Abstract
A battery pack () has a housing () with a floor part () and side walls (). The side wall () has a recess () oriented towards the inside of the housing. A plurality of cells arranged vertical to the floor part () are arranged in the housing (). An actuation means () is provided in the recess () for actuating the latching device and unlatching the detent element () from the receptacle of the electrical appliance. The actuation means () is guided on a guide means displaceable relative to the housing (), and a translatory axis of the actuation means () is oriented vertical to the side wall () and parallel to the floor part ().
