Abstract
The present invention relates to an adhesive coating device for sheet-binding provided with a roller, part of which is immersed in adhesivestored in an adhesive reservoir, for applying hot-melted adhesivein the above-mentioned adhesive reservoiralong the arranged one-side edge of a bundle of sheetswhile rotating. The device includes an electromagnetic induction heating coildisposed in the vicinity of the above-mentioned roller, and a current supply devicefor supplying a high-frequency current to the above-mentioned electromagnetic induction heating coil. The above-mentioned rolleris formed of a heating member for generating heat using the Joule heat owing to an eddy current caused by a high-frequency magnetic flux generated by the above-mentioned electromagnetic induction heating coil, and the above-mentioned rolleris heated by supplying a current from the above-mentioned current supply deviceto the above-mentioned electromagnetic induction heating coilso that the adhesivestored in the above-mentioned adhesive reservoiris melted.
