A shock absorbing member attaching structure for attaching a shock absorbing membermade from a resin to a bumper beamof a vehicle body, characterized in that protruding portionswhich protrude in opposite directions are provided on the bumper beam, and in that attaching portionsare provided on the shock absorbing memberwhich are adapted to ride over the respective protruding portionsby virtue of elastic deformation thereof to be locked onto the protruding portionson a longitudinally inward side thereof.
