Abstract
A re-configurable interface used in modular electronic architectures includes a host () and one or more modules () for interfacing with the host () to provide additional functionality. A configuration controller () located in the host () is for reading a memory device () located in the module () for providing configuration information to the host. The pin controller () then is able to reconfigure pins of the host connector () to communicate with the module ().
