Abstract
A female terminal fitting () is provided with a pair of fastening pieces () extending from the opposite side edges of a bottom plate (), and the fastening pieces () are bent inward toward each other, thereby wrapping around the outer circumferential surface of a sealing member () fitted on a wire () to fasten the sealing member () together with the wire (). Sealing-member protecting portions () are formed on side edges of the inner surfaces of the fastening pieces () and are aligned at obtuse angles to contact surfaces (). Therefore, the bite in the sealing member () can be hindered over a wide range.
