Abstract
A linear light source (A) including an insulating substrate (), a plurality of light emitting elements () arranged in columns on the substrate (), a wiring pattern () connected with the light emitting elements () and co formed on the substrate () so as to divide the light emitting elements () into a plurality of groups (Bto B), and first and second terminal units () in continuity with the wiring pattern (). The plurality of light emitting elements () define a plurality of clearances (Pto P) between adjacent light emitting elements, the clearances (P Pto P) being adjusted so as to have different lengths.
