Abstract
A system for server-side communication support in a distributed computing environment is provided that includes a local reference () to a server object () on a server system (). The local reference () provides a location of the server object () and a type of the server object (). The local reference () resides within a server-side object request broker (). A type object () is accessible by the local reference () using the type of the server object () from the local reference (). The type object () represents a class of the server object (). One or more specialized function objects () are linked to the type object () and correspond in number to one or more methods () of the server object (). The one or more specialized function objects () provide wrapper functionality for each method () of the server object ().
