This invention concerns an isolated and purified polypeptide capable of acting as a guanylyltransferase and methyltransferase comprising capping enzyme of(CEF). The invention also concerns the use of such polypeptide to identify biologically active molecule wich can be used in the treatment or the prevention of diseases resulting frominfection.
