Abstract
Process for video microscopy in which an image of an object () on a microscope stage () generated by a microscope () is recorded with a video camera, digitized, stored temporarily, and displayed on the monitor () of a personal computer (). At one known magnification V, an image detail () is selected. Its image coordinates {right arrow over (r)}=(x, y) relative to the center () of the image on the monitor screen () are determined at the proper scale. After a change in magnification from magnification Vto another magnification Vthe position of the image detail () on the monitor screen is kept the same by moving the microscope stage () in the proper direction by {right arrow over (r)}(1/V−1/V).
