Abstract
An electrical card connector () is provided for interconnecting an electrical card () with a printed circuit board and includes a base member (), a cover (), a connecting element () for pivotally connecting the cover with the base, a first hinge () and a second hinge (). The base member includes an insulative housing () and a plurality of conductive terminals mounted in the housing. The cover includes a receptacle () for receiving the card. The connecting element includes a body portion () and a first mating sleeve () and a second mating sleeve () respectively at an upper and a lower portion of the body portion for engaging with the first and second hinges, thereby pivotally connecting the cover and the base member.
