Abstract
A joint () with a joint housing () and with a joint shell () is arranged therein with a ball () having a pivot pin () protruding from the joint housing () and surrounded by a rubber bellows () with a protective cap (). A ring () for holding the protective cap () is connected to the edge area () of the rubber bellows (). The edge area () concentrically surrounds the pivot pin (). The ring () has a circular bead (8) on its annular outer side () and is vulcanized into the edge area () of the rubber bellows (). The protective cap () is provided on its inner side () with a plurality of projections (), which can be bent from the outside through openings () in the protective cap () by means of a tool () radially (arrow) in relation to the pivot pin () against the bead () of the ring () in a non-positive and positive locking manner.
