Abstract
For preventing reduction of transmitting efficiency of signal light, an optical connectorhas a ferrulejoined with an end of an optical fiber cable, a housing and a plate-like spring. The ferruleincludes a cylindrical portionand the first flangedisposed at central portionof the cylindrical portion. The plate-like springreceived in the housinghas a first straight portionabutting on the flange, a second straight portionabutting on an inner surface of the housing, and connecting portionsconnecting the straight portions. The first straight portionand the second straight portionintersect a center axis P perpendicularly.
